- Customer complaint: Check engine light is on and engine is running rough. Pulled codes and found that #4 cyl was misfiring. Inspected and found lifter on that cylinder had collapsed. Tore down and installed dod delete kit with new non dod camshaft. While into the engine found excessive wear on the timing chain tensioner and the chain was stretched allowing slop in the timing. Replaced oil pump and resealed oil pan and associated gaskets. Found rear most bolt on driver exhaust manifold was broke off, also had to replace all three pipe studs as the old ones had to be cut off. When removing coolant reservoir cap it literally came apart with the bottom part sieved in the reservoir (replaced reservoir assembly) Road tested vehicle verified codes did not return and vehicle running as it should. Recommend replacing engine mounts as driver mount is failing.
